ESCAPISM = Philosophical and ethical conception that envisages the escape from everyday life by contemplating the spiritual essences and by seeking a refuge in timelessness.
On the other side (left)
"The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane."
(Marcus Aurelius)

Emergency exit (right)
For those who had flights so long that they actually wanted to be able to escape from the aircraft at any moment.
And for those who may have had to make a journey that they did not necessarily want, preffering instead to be able to get off at the first station and start a whole new adventure.

Message out of a bottle (left)
"I suppose life is a little like that, isn't it, a message in a bottle pitched out to sea, to be carried by the winds and the tides, washing up on the beaches we could never imagine."
(Gene Tierney)

Free (right)
"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion"
(Albert Camus)
Change of vision (left)
“When a light appears in the darkness, the darkness becomes richer; and when a darkness appears in the light, the light becomes richer! Uniformity impoverishes, discrepancy enriches!”
(Mehmet Murat Ildan)

Fly me to the moon (right)
"Fly me to the moon
Let me play up there with those stars
Let me see what life is like
On a-Jupiter and Mars"
(Frank Sinatra "Fly me to the Moon")
Bibliophilia (left)
“Books are our umbilical cord to life.
They connect us deeply, and with more meaning, to the world. They aren’t about escaping from ourselves but expanding ourselves, and finding within us the tools we need to survive.”
(Matt Haig)

Dive in (right)
"What can we gain by sailing to the moon if we are not able to cross the abyss that separates us from ourselves? This is the most important of all voyages of discovery, and without it, all the rest are not only useless, but disastrous."
(Thomas Merton)
